Thought Field Therapy or TFT as it is more commonly known was developed by Dr Roger Callaghan when he made a chance discovery while working with a patient who had a life long fear of water.
TFT works by releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of emotional issues and/ or physical symptoms, which can a include a lack of confidence, feeling stuck, anxious and also physical pain. The different meridian points on the body relate to different emotions. During a session, a TFT practitioner will work closely with a patient to uncover the root cause of an issue and will tap on the meridian points in different combinations to help the client release the feelings related to the issue. By tapping on the different meridian points, blocked energy within the body is released and cortisol levels are lowered.
Quite often after a treatment, a client will not be able to access the feeling or it will be greatly reduced.
TFT is a deceptively simple technique that can be taught to the client so that they can use it whenever they feel the need, putting them in control.
